Why I am a Mormon.

WHY I AM A MORMON.

I was born into a family whose foundation and premise is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was taught my divine identity and worth from a young age. I have known since I was a child that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he knows and loves me. In my teenage years I read and studied the Book of Mormon for myself, I have felt the confirmation of the Spirit each time I read from its pages. I know that the Book of Mormon is a another witness of Jesus Christ, and that it was written specifically for us in our day. The Book of Mormon gives my life direction, purpose, and testifies that Jesus is the Christ, and that he Atoned for me. I know also by the confirmation of the Spirit that Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet of God, and that through the power of God he restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth. I know that God lives and that he loves each of his children. I know that Christ performed the Atonement for all of us; I have been able to use and feel the cleansing and redeeming power of the Atonement in my own life. I know that through the Priesthood power that has been restored to the earth, we can be sealed to our families for eternity. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know this is the fullness of the gospel. It is the purpose of life. I love the gospel with all my heart, and I hope that if you haven't already, that you will read the Book of Mormon and seek to know if it is true.

HOW I LIVE MY FAITH.

One of my favorite quotes is "Live your life in such a way that those who know you but don't know Christ, will want to know Christ, because they know you." I live my faith by trying to be an example of Christ to those around me. To share the light of the gospel and the happiness it brings to everyone I come in contact with. The Creator of the Universe knows and loves each and every single one of his children, it's important that we first understand this for ourselves, and then we in turn, make it known to those around us. I also live my faith by working my hardest to keep the Lord's commandments, and to always honor and keep my covenants with him. I strive to strengthen my relationship with my Savior daily by reading my scriptures, praying and seeking answers to my prayers, and by serving those around me. Christ's church is a church of love and service; we each are given the opportunity, if we are willing, to serve in various capacities or "callings" within the church.
